Salem Food Tours, established in 2012, are the perfect way to explore historic Salem, MA. Enjoy tastings from some of Salem’s best food shops and restaurants. Our five-star rated Tours bring history to life through the senses. As our guests say, “It’s like a roaming dinner party!” Enjoy chats with local owners and fellow foodies. You’ll learn about Salem’s illustrious spice trade history, get insider tips on great secret foodie finds, and more. With today’s culinary renaissance and Salem’s award-winning food scene, locals and visitors on our Tours agree—Salem is truly a vibrant, fun, and delicious place to explore!
The Basics, 2020 style:
We want to keep things fun and delicious. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we roll with changes.
Salem Food Tours 2020: Minimum ticket purchase 4 and max ticket purchase 10. We highly suggest booking in advance.Your ticket ($58pp) includes a cheese, wine, and spice tasting, cups of fresh Lobster Mac & Cheese, and a surprise sweet and savory tasting. The Tours runs approximately 3.5 ish + hours starting early afternoon. To comply with current MA state COVID regulations, we have a max guest count of 10 for all Food Tours and AM Coffee Walks. To accommodate regulations due to COVID-19, most tastings will be done outside, standing. Masks are required when we are not stopped and sampling or whenever you go into shops. A 6′ space will be maintained between your party and the Tour guide (who will also be wearing a mask and small mic), and others who are not part of your group. Children? We can accommodate. AM Coffee Walks & Afternoon Strolls 2020*
*We will be offering our AM Coffee Walks Friday through Sunday only in 2020 until further notice.
Our AM Coffee Walks give guests a great overview of our delicious City. Walks are $25 per person and include complimentary organic coffee or tea (or bottle of water), a sweet treat, a mini spice tasting, and finish with a complimentary beverage. As we Walk you’ll enjoy information on our local history, including our illustrious spice trade history, walking past historic landmarks, and learning about our wonderful shops and restaurants, dynamic cultural scene, and more. When we’re done you’ll know where to eat, shop and visit!
AM Coffee Walks start at 9.30am and take about an hour and a half. Coffee Walks are open to all ages, children under 6 free.
Afternoon Strolls 2020 – October only or by special request: include the same great information as our AM Coffee Walks. Strolls include fresh New England clam chowder (or vegetarian soup option), cheese, wine, sweet, and spice tasting. $42 per person includes all tastings.
Visiting Salem? we highly recommend joining in on one of Tours as early in your visit as possible to make the most of your stay 🙂

Salem Spirits Trolley 2020*
*NOTE: We are currently selling tickets for the 2020 Spirits Trolley, with dates running end of September through early November. Please note due to COVID-19, our max headcount this year is currently 18 guests to allow for required space on Trolley. This page will be updated if that headcount changes. If you are interested in the Spirits Trolley, we recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to secure your seat as these do sell out. With these ever-changing circumstances, if they are cancelled on our end, ticket holders will be given a refund.

Join us for a fun and delicious excursion on our sister Tour of Salem’s locally made and award-winning craft products.
Hop aboard the Salem Spirits Trolley and explore the history of Salem’s illustrious spice trade, learn about the role of spices in the production of spirits, and enjoy delicious samples of locally produced craft products like hard cider, gin, rum, and beer!
This fun and informative journey is $45 per person and runs approximately 2.5 hours in the afternoon. You’ll be seated on the charming Salem Trolley and travel through some of Salem’s prettiest historic neighborhoods. Your local host for this Tour is renowned comedian Mark Scalia.
Team Outings and Private Bookings for the Salem Spirits Trolley 18 guests on Thursday and Friday afternoons only.
Kindly note: ages 21+ only. State ID required. The Salem Spirits Trolley is committed to fun but also a responsible environment so that all patrons will enjoy the tasting experience. We reserve the right to refuse service if deemed necessary.
